Our Purple Band

Now this sounds so 80s. But I assure I’m not talking about the rock band with the name purple attached to it. I’m talking about probably the most difficult challenge I have yet to accomplish… 21 days without uttering a single complaint!!!
Say what??!!!??
Picture this, you stand in line for almost an hour in a cramped grocery store and suddenly someone has the gall the cut in the line? Do you complain? You bet I won’t! How about if you are in the middle of writing your blog and you suddenly lost internet connection? Would you call technical support and complain? The new me, sure won’t.

For someone who can’t abide annoying people and irritating situations, I live and breathe complaints. I’m not a whiner though; I’m just vocal about my views and observations. This was the BEFORE scenario…now I’m in the process of forming a new habit…the habit of turning negativity into positive outlook and I will be able to achieve this by not complaining, gossiping or criticizing. The experts say that it takes 21 days to form a habit… I just hope this new habit won’t take 21 months for me…
